East of England Showgroundpromoting sustainable living - toward a greener lifestyle
Introduction
Our research has established that there is a general acceptance that we are damaging our planet and that adverse changes are taking place at an alarming rate. In addition utility supplies are less certain than was imagined only a short time ago and food, although plentiful for us at the moment, is becoming more expensive and has an impact on the environment due to the manner and location of production.
As a result many people are looking for ways to have less reliance on external suppliers be it utilities, food or other which is often coupled with an interest in limiting their impact on the planet and a desire to save money today or in the near future.

Exhibitors
Our exhibitors represent the latest developments, technologies and solutions in the following fields:
Peterborough is mounting an enthusiastic campaign to become the UK’s environmental capital, therefore it seemed appropriate to locate the inaugural ecoshow uk as close as possible. Peterborough is already home to many environmental based companies and initiatives and is working hard to attract more.
Exec is a modern, purpose built, multi-functional complex in Peterborough, designed to be flexible and adaptable. Built to the latest specifications, the Exec building has been built to the highest specifications of heating, lighting and insulation so that the minimum power is necessary to maintain an appropriate environment.
The showground sources all of its food locally (under their Food Direct from the Farm scheme) and composts all organic waste, which is in turn spread on the grass at the Showground. Operationally, the offices use re-filled toner cartridges and separate and recycle as much as possible.
The spacious exhibition hall provides a clear span of 4,646m2 of usable space with an adjoining glass-roofed Atrium which is flooded with natural light.
The venue’s location is easily accessible as it’s situated within the East of England Showground in Peterborough. With good public transport and free parking, Exec is a stone’s throw away from the A1 and close to the main railway route between London King’s Cross and Edinburgh and is only one hour by car from East Midlands, Birmingham, London Luton or London Stansted airports.
